Great American Trucking Show (GATS) 2014
The 2014 Great American Trucking Show (GATS) took place in Dallas, Texas, from August 21 to 23, at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center (now known as the Kay Bailey Hutchison Center). This annual industry event brought together professionals, manufacturers, and service providers from across the trucking sector. More than 500 exhibitors were present, showcasing the latest products, services, and technological advancements designed to enhance efficiency, safety, and productivity within the industry.
Among the notable highlights was the prestigious Mike O'Connell Memorial Trucking's Top Rookie award ceremony, which honored an outstanding new professional driver for exceptional performance and dedication. The show also featured several significant product unveilings by companies such as Tough Tested and VeriTread, reflecting ongoing innovation within the field. Additionally, important awareness and advocacy campaigns were launched, including those by Truckers Against Trafficking, aimed at combating human trafficking, and Trucking Moves America Forward, a national initiative to promote the value and image of the trucking profession.
