Kerri Wright: Director of Digital Communications
Kerri Wright possesses an extensive and distinguished record of service and leadership, with more than twenty years of dedicated experience in customer service, digital communication, entrepreneurship, and commercial trucking. Her multifaceted career reflects not only her professional excellence but also her deep commitment to empowering others, breaking barriers, and fostering greater accessibility within every field she touches.
Throughout her two decades as a customer service representative, Kerri built a reputation for unparalleled professionalism, empathy, and efficiency. She consistently demonstrated the ability to connect with clients on a meaningful level, resolve complex issues with precision, and provide solutions that went beyond expectations. Her unwavering dedication to excellence earned her numerous awards, recognizing her both as one of the best customer service representatives in her field and as one of the fastest responders to customer needs. Kerri’s professional reputation is grounded not just in technical skill but in her remarkable compassion and respect for others, qualities that have won her admiration from colleagues, clients, and industry peers alike.
Kerri’s talents extend well beyond customer service. A highly skilled and creative web developer and designer, she has long been passionate about digital communication and technology. Her interest in design began in high school, where she discovered her love for layout design, graphics, and digital editing as part of the yearbook staff. That early spark grew into a lifelong pursuit. She later advanced her training through studies at the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT), where she expanded her expertise in coding languages, design principles, and modern web technologies. Today, she applies this expertise to develop digital content and websites that are not only functional but also engaging and visually compelling, always with a meticulous eye for detail and an innovative vision for communication.
Kerri’s professional journey also encompasses entrepreneurship and business leadership. Alongside her husband, she co-owned and operated a fully independent trucking company for more than six years. Unlike many trucking operators who lease equipment or work under larger companies, Kerri and her husband managed their enterprise entirely on their own, handling every aspect of business operations. This independence required her to master fleet management, financial oversight, compliance with federal regulations, logistics coordination, and customer relations. Through determination, adaptability, and a commitment to learning from every challenge, she became a capable and successful business leader, proving that resilience and innovation can transform obstacles into opportunities for growth.
In 2019, Kerri reached another historic milestone when she earned her Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), becoming the first deaf female trucker from the state of Oklahoma. Beyond that, she made history as the first deaf female trucker in the United States to operate a fully independent trucking company. This groundbreaking achievement highlights not only her courage and perseverance but also her role as a trailblazer in the transportation industry, paving the way for greater inclusivity and representation for deaf professionals.
Kerri Wright’s story is one of resilience, adaptability, and vision. She has excelled in diverse fields, customer service, digital communication, entrepreneurship, and trucking, demonstrating extraordinary versatility and determination. Her professional path is defined by an eagerness to embrace challenges, a willingness to learn continuously, and an ability to transform innovation into tangible results.
As Director of Digital Communications for a nonprofit organization, Kerri brings her unique blend of skills, creativity, and leadership to amplify voices, share stories, and build meaningful connections within and beyond the community. She approaches this role with the same dedication and compassion that have guided her entire career, ensuring that digital platforms serve as tools of empowerment, inclusion, and inspiration.
Kerri Wright is not only a professional pioneer but also a role model for deaf individuals and aspiring leaders nationwide. Her career exemplifies the transformative power of hard work, self-directed learning, and an unwavering commitment to excellence. Through her example, she continues to inspire others to believe in their potential, break down barriers, and pursue their dreams with courage and determination.
