Zachary Rietz: Member-at-Large
Zachary Rietz brings nearly three decades of diverse experience in the trucking and logistics industry. Based in Texas, Zachary has spent the past 29 years immersed in every facet of the trucking sector, making him a well-rounded and knowledgeable leader. Over the course of his career, he has held key positions in warehousing, driving, office operations, accounting, dispatching, and fleet management. This comprehensive background provides him with unique insight into the inner workings of the transportation industry, from frontline operations to back-office logistics.
Currently, Zachary serves as a Fleet Manager, where he is responsible for overseeing transportation operations, maintaining safety and compliance standards, and ensuring logistical efficiency. His leadership style is shaped by practical, firsthand experience and a profound understanding of the challenges drivers and managers face on a daily basis. He is known for his strategic thinking, reliable judgment, and ability to communicate and collaborate effectively across teams.
Zachary’s personal life is equally fulfilling. He is married to the love of his life and is a proud father of three children. His dedication to family, alongside his professional responsibilities, reflects his strong personal values and commitment to building a better future for those around him.
In his role with Deaf Truckers United, Zachary is passionate about using his industry expertise to support and uplift Deaf and Hard of Hearing individuals in trucking. He is committed to promoting greater accessibility, raising awareness, and advocating for equal opportunities within the industry. His vision is to help DTU continue building a community where everyone, regardless of hearing ability, has the resources and support they need to thrive in their trucking career.
